Goodtime I Alumni Sunset Cruise
On Sunday August 15 the Goodtime I will be hosting the 3rd Annual Alumni Sunset Cruise. The Goodtime will depart from the Jackson Street Pier in downtown Sandusky at 7 pm and will return right around 9 pm. The event is being sponsored by the SMCCHS Alumni Association and local businesses and is open to all St. Mary Alumni and their families no matter the year.
The inaugural event was held as part of the 1958 Class Reunion and was organized by Dave Mehling and his classmates. With the help of Goodtime owner Joe Lamb (class of 1988), the event was a huge success and Dave Mehling was able to present a check for $1,200 to St. Mary Central Catholic. Adding to the festivities this year, the classes of 1970 and 1960 will be hosting their class reunions that same weekend and should be aboard the cruise in full force. Dave Mehling and Gary Erney are spearheading the organizational efforts this year for what has been a hugely successful and rewarding experience for all involved.
Specially priced discount tickets are available for $12 through Dave Mehling (419-625-4768) or Gary Erney (419-626-5389). Space is limited and tickets sell quickly. Beverages of all kinds will be available on the cruise and you may bring your own snacks and food. If you’ve ever been aboard the Goodtime you know the cruise will be a blast!
This will be a great opportunity to meet new friends and catch up with members of the Panther family so we hope to see you on board. All money raised from the Alumni Sunset Cruise will go directly the Tuition Assistance Program.
