High school exams will be given on January 14th, 15th, and 16th, 2009. Information on times and student release forms will be sent home the week following our Christmas vacation.
Morning Adoration continues on a daily basis in the All Saints Chapel at the SMCC campus. Please join us from 7:00 until 7:30, even if you can stay for only a few minutes. Thank you for your prayerful support of the students, staff, and school.
Basketball, swimming and wrestling seasons are underway at the junior high and high school. Pick up a winter sports schedule in the office, or visit our updated website so you can continue your support of the Panthers.
Mark January 21st, 2009, on your calendar for a great guest speaker, Tarek Saab. There will be two opportunities for you to attend his talk at the State Theatre. He will be speaking to the students in grades 7 – 12 at 12:30 p.m. and he will be speaking in the evening at 7:00 p.m. for adults. This program is a send off for those leaving for the Right to Life March in Washington D.C. the following day.
Tarek was on the NBC TV reality show “The Apprentice 5.” He is a national Catholic speaker who addresses topics such as chastity, modesty, business ethics, pro-life, prayer, etc.
In the past, Staples had a program in which they would donate directly to our school up to $3.00 for every ink or toner cartridge collected. This year they have extended the program to include cell phones. Please help Sandusky Central Catholic School, and the environment, by recycling used printer cartridges and old cell phones. It does not matter how old the cell phone is, please send it in to school so we can recycle it. Collection boxes are located at the school’s main office.
When sending old cartridges to school to be recycled please enclose them in a plastic bag to prevent ink smears.
On January 19th there is No School as we recognize Martin Luther King Day.
Catholic Schools Week begins January 26th. We will hold our All School Mass on Wednesday, January 28th at 9:30 a.m.
